Although I don't have pictures, while travelling between farms this morning I noticed a huge and sprawling winter jasmine in full bloom as well as the season's first forsythias. Lots of warm and wet in the forecast to bring on the grass, too ! For those who follow me from the north, I'm not trying to rub your nose in it...at least not too much. :)

Daffodils are still a long way off around here, but I have noticed some tiny buds on the trees.
Most of the shrubs in the understory...I don't have the first clue what any of 'em are....are greening up right now and the Bradford Pears look like blossoms are only a few days off. As much as I like to see green stuff I can't help but hold my breath...in my world late February is WAY too early to be budding out and I think it's possible they could get punished for doing so down here, too !
3-8" tonight and tomorrow. It'll all be worth it this summer. Just keep repeating that to yourself, Funder..
Something to look forward to....
Wow! So early compared to anything in my experience. Heck, I think I was probably too early starting seeds indoors this week! I hope your plants won't be punished for it!
It's normal for the daffs to be in full bloom right now and for the grass to be greening up, and even for the Bradford pears to be budding but it's a week or two early for the understory shrubs to be greening up as vigourously as they are. I expect everything will be okay, one way or another.
